This is that specific time that an entrepreneur has to decide whether or not to imitate another business for his own success and business survival. Many might view this as a thing of the past and that any serious business person doesn’t attempt, though I want to completely disagree with this type of thinking. If imitating is bad, then why do we have mentors and role models, then I consider that too.
It is insane to watch my business die while there is a neighbor of mine whom his business is doing better than mine yet we in the same business selling the same product. His businesses in demand yet mine is deteriorating each day that passes. Take a bold step, go learn and copy what he is doing to get profits and maintain his customers. There is a time it call’s to imitate, however, we cannot always imitate everything each day, Imitation contributes to a healthy completion and production of great products, we refer to it as creativity and innovation.

When is the best time to imitate?
When Making Losses
We don’t go into business to make losses rather to satisfy a need as we gain profits, which is the reason why we are entrepreneurs. Furthermore, no one has money to make losses, though sometimes we cannot avoid due to unavoidable or unclear circumstances. It is of this that imitating a product or another person’s business is in order and important part of our growth. And when we decide to imitate them that is the time that we have decided to learn
“An innovation or a new idea is an untested, untried venture,” says John White of BestEssayHelp. “Imitation helps ‘fix the bugs’ of the initial business idea. Research and case study can identify major problems and weaknesses of any business.
When the Product is Demanded
You cannot sit and just watch people within your reach go miles and miles to bring a product yet, you have got knowledge, resources and finances to make almost the same product, maybe better than it has been. Imitation is an important way of enhancing positive competition and ensuring clients have the best out of us. It is always wise to think beyond the box just to a success of your product or service.
When Losing Customers
This doesn’t sound good for any of us, and in case there is something you can do, then do it to help your business and profits, we all know why profits are a very important aspect of business that I could not ignore. Learn from your neighbor how they keep customers. Copying will definitely help you in knowing how to manage and relate to your target customers.
When Market Demand’s so
Sometimes we bring a product in the market, hoping that it will sell, only be shocked that customers are in need a certain unique model being sold by your closest competitor. If that is so, then imitation should be the order of the day, remaining with a product that has no market or low in the market is a waste of time while there is another one that is making your neighbor money. Go out and get it, let be a competition of customer relations but not because of a product that you can afford to bring in the market.
Building A Brand
I have been having a brand that many have always considered great and unique, though a month ago things changed when I received a new neighbor offering the same product and service, since then my customers left me for him. When asked why, some of customers said that they wanted to have a taste of another unique brand. What a disappointment to see my clients and long time friends leaving to join another brand.
From my story I believe if were me then you could have remained with three options, me leaving, my competitor leaving or imitating his brand to make mine more competitive than it. And this is always the same way to respond.
If you are confused and don’t exactly know where you should be heading to then try finding someone who has made and learn how she has done it. Don’t die in silence, you even decide, ask for their help so that you may go back to your vision. Doing a business without a vision is totally wrong and unacceptable; remember that if you don’t stand for anything then you go definitely go down because of anything.
Imitate a person who have gotten it right, learn from his success to guide yourself to success.
New In Business
Are you new, confused and don’t know where to begin? Then start the journey of finding that one entrepreneur who has made it to a high level and learn, know how he started, possible challenges, how he dealt with the challenges and was able to handle new opportunities to where he is. It is important to choose them as your mentors.
Always have him to walk through the journey, one as he uses his business to demonstrate to you how he succeeded, most successful people are always willing to help those who are passionate about what they are doing.
Not Good in Research
Imitating is another unique way of researching; consumer research is easier because people are always familiar with the product or service. Buy a product, seat down a consumer and learn from what they say. They always give a true picture of what the product looks like.
When Learning Marketing tips
